All levels of experience and ability welcome
Come and photograph the iconic red grouse on the Lammermuir Hills in the Borders Region of Scotland. I have been photographing these remarkable birds on these hills for nearly fifteen years and can offer an insight into their habits and behavioural activities
These iconic moorland birds make their home on the heather moorland and are very good at blending into this upland habitat. They feed on the tender shoots from the young heather plants that are spread all across these Scottish uplands.
Equipment needed
You will need to bring your own photographic equipment, a 500mm lens is ideal but a 300mm with converters also good. 100 – 400mm zoom lenses are good.  The Lammermuir Hills landscape may present you with opportunities for landscape photography, so if you have a wide angle lens then this would also give you a chance to capture some beautiful landscape images.
