Hassington Hares
It sounds like something you find in your soup, Hassington is a hamlet in the Scottish Borders. It has large numbers of brown hares living in the fields around the hamlet. It is a place visit regularly to photograph yellow hammer, whitethroat and………. hares. I went there this morning at 04:30 to sit and wait for them to show. using my car as a hide I was in the area for four hours before calling it a morning, then went home to do some work.
I used the Canon 50D and the 500mm f4 lens lens sitting on a large bean bag draped over the car window. I managed to get some pictures but not many. The hares seamed to stay up the field at about 150 metres. The wind was in my face so this shouldn’t have been a problem but who knows.
These are the some of the pictures I got today
