Wheatear on the Isle of Mull

One of the birds I take great pleasure in seeing on the island is the wheatear. This is a very striking bird which lives in rocky areas either in the uplands or on the rocky coastal areas. They are very distinctive as they fly away from you with their white rump feathers. I found a number of pairs some feeding young at the nest and others watching over the fledglings that have already left the nest.

Here are some of the wheatear images taken when opportunity presented itself from my week on Mull. I hope you like them.
