Battling Pheasants at Longformacus

I was up on the Lammermuir Hills above Longformacus this morning looking for skylarks in flight and failed spectacularly. On my way back I came across a couple of cock pheasants fighting in the middle of the road. They were going at it hammer and tongue and the dark of the two birds came off worse.

Gosh Fantastic Shots you managed to get Ron. Sad, but that nature the fighting.
    Hope not too hurt.

Amazing series. It’s always a slightly disturbing sight to see cock pheasants going at it.

Brilliant shots, you certainly froze them in action, I have never seen a fight this bad.
