Hawk Owl
I was looking through some pictures from a trip I took to Finland a couple of years ago. The blog wasn’t up an running then, so I thought would post some of the pictures from the trip from time to time. The trip was one of our annual trips that our little group takes every year. This one was to Olou in central Finland and was led by Finnature, our guide was Harri Tarvetti, himself an accomplished wildlife photographer.
The first post from this trip are pictures of a Hawk Owls

About Ron McCombe
I live in the Scottish Borders near Coldstream and like to photograph the local wildlife. Northumberland and South East Scotland have an abundance of natural history with sites such as Bass Rock, The Farne Islands, Holy Island and the Lammermuir Hills.
I have also traveled extensively throughout Europe, visiting Norway Sweden, Finland, Poland and Spain. I have also traveled the USA and Canada.
But I have to say I prefer Scotland, the lowlands, the highland and islands, Scotland has an abundance of wildlife to be photographed and enjoyed. I like to visit the Isle of Mull when I can, the wildlife and the scenery is stunning, some great species here to photograph, white tailed eagles, otters and red deer to name but a few.
You should come along and take a look
Ron
