The workshop on the Isle of Mull finished on Friday, we had an astounding week photographing the Isle of Mull wildlife, and in particular is otter population around the sea lochs. Otter on the Isle of Mull

The Isle of Mull trip began on Saturday with me visiting as many places as possible to get a view on where the wildlife is showing. These pictures were taken on Monday before the workshops began. I will be posting a lot more images of otters as we have had a fantastic time finding and photographing them with my guests. These pictures were taken on Loch Scridian during some very poor weather o Monday morning, its surprising how close you can get to these adorable animals when you try.

Isle of Mull workshop gets off to a flying start.

It was the start of my workshop on the Isle of Mull today and we had a great day seeing four individual otters and photographing  red deer, otter, white tail eagle, and fallow deer. Here is a small selection of the images taken by Allan Bell to day. Allan is a very keen photographer  living in Selkirk he does a lot of his photography in and around the Scottish Borders. This is just day one and we have already photographed the four of the five main species of Mull.

Otter, Loch Spelve, Isle of Mull

I am on the Isle of Mull this week running a workshop, I arrived on Saturday lunchtime, the weather has been pretty abysmal while I have been out and about finding wildlife around the island ready for my group on Monday. I was on Loch Spelve in the late afternoon, the rain was pouring down and I spotted this little beauty feeding in the loch. I watched him for a while and then he caught a larger fish and stated to come in to the side right in front of me. He sat for a while eating his catch before moving off further down the loch.
